Since 2009, Australian Contemporary Opera Co. has built audiences and extended opportunity and impact for contemporary stories and platforms.

Pioneering an annual international opera festival in 2015, ACOCO works with prominent international and national practitioners - forward-looking creators and performers - to conceive, craft and produce beautiful modern opera-stories that connect and speak to our diverse society  and hopes for the future.

In 2020, ACOCO's Festival was re-fashioned in response to COVID and delivered as a world-first, ten-day online festival. 

We are invested in the artistic and career development of all Australian artists and musicians who work with us - including building their audiences.

The vision for ACOCO's Festival remains both contemporary and adventurous, and will restart in a new location and format in 2024-2025.
